Rub and sauces

It's an age old argument whether the smoke, rub or the sauce makes the BBQ. I believe that each one adds its own unique flavors to pit smoked BBQ. With that in mind, I encourage you to post your suggestions for rubs and sauces here. PM Steve.

Best BBQ Houses

I have had the opportunity to travel the United States and sample BBQ at a number of great places. One of my favorites has to be Interstate BBQ in Memphis. Their sauce has a slight spiciness to it and is a nice thin mopping sauce. It's a great sauce for dipping rib eye steak too!

Welcome to Pitmasters

For all of those who really appreciate a good pulled pork sandwich, or smoky baby back ribs, this blog was created just for you. I encourage you to share your opinions about BBQ pits, equipment, techniques and recipes for rubs, sauces and more.

My enthusiasm for BBQ can be attributed to the folks at Northwest Barbeque Association and Paul Kirk, a world champion several times over who was my mentor.
